Manbij's people said: No to Turkish occupation

The demonstration came in response to the threats of the Turkish state and its president Recep Tayyip Erdogan stating to occupy Manbij city like Afrin.

The demonstrators carried flags of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and their factions.

Thousands of people stopped at the square from which they began to walk chanting slogans against the Turkish occupying of North Syrian lands, and they called for the unity of the people of North Syria aiming to reach the Public Square in the center of the city.

Dozens of officials and administrators of Autonomous Administration institutions, the North Syrian Federation and civil society organizations who had come to Manbij since Thursday morning to participate in the demonstration.

At an enthusiastic atmosphere that appeared on the faces of the demonstrators, the demonstrators raised banners condemning the international silence towards the massacres committed by the Turkish state in North Syria, "Killer, murderer Erdogan, and no to Turkish occupation."

While the people did not stop chanting hundreds of slogans which denounced the policy of Turkish president Recep Teyyip Erdogan which caused killing hundreds of people of North Syria and the displacement of hundreds thousands in the past few months.

As the demonstrators arrived the Public Square, everybody held a minute of silence commemorating the martyrs' souls, and then, several speeches delivered by the deputy of Culture and Art Committee in the Civil Democratic Administration of Manbij and its countryside Amal Dada, the co-chair of the Executive Body in al-Jazeera region Abdul Kareem Sarokhan, the co-chair of the Legislative Council in al-Tabqa city  al-Sheikh Hamed al-Faraj.

In addition, a speech delivered on behalf of al-Raqqa Administration by Amir Khabour, the administration of Girê Sipî delivered by Hamdan al-Abed, and a word on behalf of Deir ez-Zor Civil Council delivered by Zahran Abdul Hamid, and a speech on behalf of the Democratic Society Movement in Kobanî canton delivered by Aesha Afendi.

The speeches denounced the Turkish policy and its occupying of the lands of the North Syrian, and confirmed that the people of North Syria would stand against the occupation in one row till the end.

The demonstration concluded by chanting the slogans that salute the steadfastness of the Manbij and North Syria’s people against the Turkish occupation, and emphasize the unity of the ranks and peoples' fraternity.
