Two meetings, documentary about Ocelan’s life organized on birthday

The Democratic Community Academy in Girê Sipî (Tel-Abyad) canton organized two separate meetings in Suluk district and Hamam Turkman town on the birthday of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocelan, and presented a documentary on his life and struggle.

GIRÊ SIPÎ - In conjunction with the approaching birthday of the Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Ocelan, the Democratic Society Academy in Girê Sipî held two separate meetings in Suluk canton and Hamam Turkman town.

The meetings were attended by dozens of parents as well as members of civil institutions.

The two meetings began with a minute of silence, after which the administrator at Democratic Society Academy Mohammad Shaheen delivered a speech in which he said: "Leader Abdullah Ocelan has been fighting for 40 years for the freedom of the Kurdish people and the liberation of oppressed peoples in the Middle East."

"by virtue of the leader Abdullah Ocelan’s philosophy, we have been adopted this revolution in Rojava and North Syria to implement freedom of peoples and the union of people who have suffered from slavery".

A documentary about the life and struggle of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocelan was then shown.

The two meetings ended with slogans echoing the struggle of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocelan.
