Al-Sheikh Maqsoud Christians revived Akito Day

ALEPPO- Dozens of al-Sheikh Maqsoud people with all their religious affiliations congratulated the Christian component of the catholic sect on the occasion of Easter (al-Akito).

The Easter was celebrated at the Church of the Virgin Mary in the eastern part of the neighborhood. The Eid started by performing prayers, religious hymns and reading texts from the Bible by members of Christian families.

After the religious ceremonies have ended, the representative of the Catholic Synod and the member of the Syrian Democratic Council (Aleppo Office) Joseph Qablan delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees and thanked them for their participation in reviving this day.

While the spokesman for the Syrian Democratic Council (Aleppo office) Abu Yehya al-Baraa delivered a speech in which he congratulated the Christian families on the day of Christ’s resurrection saying, “After three days of pains and sorrows, Christ has been recovered, and by the grace of God, Syria would recover from its pains and sadness to witness after that light and peace.”

The rituals of Resurrection Day ended with congratulating the Christian families by the attendees.
