Al-Tabqa 's administration congratulates christians on"Akito", today official holiday

The Democratic Civil Administration in al-Tabqa area declared on Sunday an official holiday for all its institutions and directorates, this on the occasion of the glorious Easter and the birth of the Babylonian year, which falls on 1 April 2018 as an official holiday for the people in the region.

AL_TABQA -The Civil Administration of all people of Syria from all Christian denominations and children of the Assyrian component, especially the best blessings and congratulations on the occasion of the birth of the new "Akito" and celebrate it.

In its statement No. 31, the Administration wished for the continuation of security and stability throughout the territories of Syria, which is waging bloody sectarian wars.

The Akito celeberation is considered one of the most ancient cultural festivals celebrated by Christians and was forbidden to try to eliminate the cultural heritage of the indigenous people of the region.

Christians in al-Tabqa and in the rest of Syria have been banned from celebrating this feast during a period of provocative occupation and other extremist groups.
