YPG: Turkish officer, soldier killed in Afrin

AFRIN- The media center of YPG released a statement about the operations carried out by their units within hit-and-run operations against the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries in Afrin.

“The media center stated that YPG’s operations against the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries in Afrin center continue amid a mobilization of the mercenaries and derailing the security situation in the city. It also assured that a Turkish officer was killed from wounds sustained in an operation of the units carried out on Janders-Afrin road on Wednesday, in which, another soldier was killed and other seven of them got wounded.  

The media center added, “on Thursday, a Turkish soldier was killed and another one got wounded during another operation carried out by the units in the center of the city.”

At the same time, the problems between the mercenaries are escalating on the properties of the residents. Moreover, another clash broke out between Ahrar al-Sharqiya and Ahrar al-Sham mercenaries in the city due to disagreement over the generators and machines of a bakery of the city that they stole, noting that the bakery is still off the job”.

The statement also said, “The so-called local council which was formed by the Turkish intelligence got dissolved two days ago after problems took place on the distribution of powers against Entebbe Council and the gang of the mercenary Fuad Aliko who is a member of the Kurdish National Council that was existed during the past two days in the city. The gang of Aliko demanded the right to manage the city in return for granting the local council powers to manage other areas.”

In another context, the statement stated, “In al-Shahba areas, the Turkish state sent its mercenaries to prepare for attacking Tel Rifat city and the villages around it as hundreds of mercenaries with four tanks and other armored vehicles have been set and led by the mercenary Abu Yehya Qerendal (Moro) and the mercenary Abu Bakry al-Asly with Turkish officers after Turkish drones hovered over the area during the last two days. These movements came after two days of spreading rumors by the Turkish special war chambers that stated that they dominated the city.”
