Historical mosques in Bakur changed its names by Turkish occupation

NEWS DESK - As part of its policies to develop the region, the Turkish Endowments Body changed the name of the "Kurdish Mosque" in Kellis district in the state of Delok "Antep " in  Bakur Kurdistan and called it "mosque Turks."

Turkey continues its policies in the region, erasing everything related to the history of the non-Turkish peoples in the region. After Turkey changed the names of Kurdish towns and villages to Turkish names, it began to change the names of religious monuments rooted in the memory of the peoples of the region.

In this context, the Turkish Endowments Body changed the name of the "Kurdish Mosque" in ​​Kellis  district in the state of Delok "Antep " in Bakur "north of Kurdistan", which was built by Hussein Agha Kurdish.

The Turkish authorities took this decision, although all historical records indicate that the name of the mosque is the official and historical "Mosque of the Kurds."

In the beginning, the Turkish Endowments Body  covered the plaque of naming the original mosque with a plaque on which was written "Mosque of the Turks" but later removed the old historical painting that refers to the name of the mosque "Mosque of Kurds".

Turkey is also pursuing a policy of industrialization in the areas it occupies in North-Syria The Turkish flag was also suspended in the health centers and institutions in the region. Turkey also changed the names of the Syrian villages and towns, changing the name of al-Ra'i city to Joban Bay and many other villages in the region. In an attempt to remove the concerns of non-Turkish peoples in the region.
