Legal Committee is finalizing draft law on working system in al-Tabqa

AL-TABQA- An official source within the legal committee, composed of a group of lawyers specializing in economic and civil affairs, explained that "this project sets the foundation stone for the organization of work at the level of al-Tabqa to ensure the protection of employees and institutions."
It noted that the substance of the decision had touched upon the reality of the pension taking into account all requests and complaints from employees, including the establishment of a lump-sum pension basis, plus compensation for travel costs and overtime.
In view of the great risks that may be faced by some workers in institutions and public services (electricity company, construction workshops and steel working in the public sector) has been included in the health insurance item, which deals with the treatment of any worker injured or exposed to any harm in the performance of his operational duties.
The same source pointed out that the draft resolution gives the right of fixation to employees in institutions and public services after six months from the start of their service there.
The source added that "the draft resolution was born after a vigorous review of labor laws in several constitutions of the Syrian neighboring countries, including both the Jordanians and Iraq.
It is expected that the Legislative Council will discuss the terms of the project within the next few days and once approved, the same committee will focus on the study of a new item specifying the hierarchy of the pension or differential by the classes and scientific and practical groups of holders of certificates and experience.
