Constitutive conference of Future Syria Party ends with issuance of final statement.

AL-RAQQA - The final statement issued by the constitutive conference of the Future Syria Party, which was held today in al- Raqqa city.
"On March 27, 2018 and in the Syrian city al-Raqqa under the slogan" (Syria is democratic, pluralistic and decentralized) ", the constitutive conference of the Future Syria Party was held in the presence of 800 delegates from various Syrian regions and 100 guests from different political parties, blocs, national and social figures, institutions and civil councils.
The conference was opened by the preparatory committee with a minute of silence .The sessions began with reading the constitutive document of the party, followed by listening to guests' speeches and personalities, reading the messages and telegrams received in the conference, and then reading the party program and the rules of procedure. The documents were approved after deliberation, discussion and agreement on the party's name and flag.

The members of the conference deliberated the general political situation in Syria and the situation in the country as a result of the intransigence of the regime and its insistence on continuing its oppressive and exclusionary policies, thus militarizing the peaceful movement and deviating from its course. The country was plunged into a spiral of killing and sectarian civil war, especially after the control of Jihadists gangs , and has complicated the regional and international interventions in the Syrian issue, and the division of loyalties to this country or that. While the uprising of the Syrian people to build a democratic, pluralistic and participatory state in which citizens equal rights and duties.
Nearly seven years after the crisis that caused the destruction of the country and the displacement of half of the population of Syria at home and abroad and the fall of more than one million victims between the dead and wounded and thousands of detainees and missing persons, the conferees saw a common vision of the solution that the Syrians have no choice but to activate the mechanisms of peaceful solution.
And that in the absence of national political parties for all sects and segments of the Syrian people with their different nationalities, religions and sects, the Syrian people need, at this delicate and decisive stage, to be a progressive political party restores national cohesion
- believes in peaceful political change with a social contract and a constitution that establishes a decentralized democratic Syria based on the principles of pluralism, freedom of belief, expression and equality, and equality of citizens in rights and duties.
- rejects all forms of chauvinism and racism, and resolve national issues, including the Kurdish issue in accordance with international covenants and conventions.
- believes that all sects of the Syrian people are free to believe, express, practice religious rites and preserve national identity.
- Seeking to build the best relations with the neighboring countries and their peoples, including Turkey and Iraq on the basis of mutual interests and mutual respect, and support the arrival of humanitarian aid to the areas affected and liberated from all over Syria and to secure borders with neighboring countries.
The Conference stressed:
- Starting the establishment of the party in the interest of the Syrian people and the unity of the Syrian territory, which is provided for any national interest or religious and sectarian, and the refusal of quotas on these grounds, and not link to regional or international agendas or the programs of any political parties and organizations.
- Establishing the best relations with members of the Syrian opposition and calling for cooperation and joint action, and monitoring all energies in order to stop the bleeding of blood and reconstruction and stability.
- Provide all necessary for the return of displaced persons to their places of residence and all the forces and organizations that believe in peaceful solution and expelled as a result of the conflict.
The Conference unanimously agreed on the commitment to the Geneva outcomes and the relevant UN resolutions, especially resolution 2254, to ensure that all sectors of the Syrian people are represented in the political process, including drafting a new constitution and freely participating in presidential and parliamentary elections under the auspices of the United Nations.
The conference also stressed the sovereignty of the Syrian state on its territory and refused to deduct any part of it.
The conference ended with the election of the 81-member General Council
Mr. Ibrahim al-Kaftan was elected to the party's presidency, and Ms. Hafrin Khalaf was elected to the party's general secretariat.
