Newroz 2018's flame lit in Girê Sipî

GIRÊ SIPÎ- The people of Girê Sipî revived on Saturday the activities of Newroz 2018 in Goberlek village in Girê Sipî.

After the people with all components have flocked towards al-Newroz Square, the activity has started by holding a minute of silence; then, the martyrs' mothers lit the Newroz flame. After that, the co-chair of Girê Sipî Hamdan al-Abed delivered a speech and congratulated all the oppressed peoples on Newroz. 

Al-Abed made it clear that the bonfire of Newroz in Girê Sipî is a great response to the enemies saying, "Today, after the Turkish occupation army's aggression against Afrin, all the areas must turn into castles of resistance to prove to the world that we would not surrender."

In his turn, the co-chair of Girê Sipî Canton Council Mostafa Eto delivered a speech and said, "We salute Newroz Eid on the time when we proved that we are able to stand against the great troops by our people's will amid an international silence against the civilians in Afrin."

Furthermore, Newroz activities are still ongoing by delivering speeches and showing the artistic and lyrical presentations.
