1331 people arrive in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh from Lebanon
The number of returnees from Lebanon, to the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh, reached 1,331 people, amid the continued flow of arrivals due to the military escalation in Lebanon.
On the first of October, the General Council of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods announced the formation of a crisis cell, which includes all concerned sectors and institutions, to facilitate the arrival of returnees and expatriates from Lebanon to the 2 neighborhoods, and to provide all services and facilities according to the available capabilities.
The crisis cell formed told ANHA agency's correspondent that the number of arrivals so far has reached 1,331 people, with continued access to the 2 neighborhoods, all of whom are Syrian returnees without the presence of other nationalities.
ANHA agency met with one of the returnees from Lebanon to the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, Maqbola Ramadan, who wished the people to support her in her current ordeal, especially the issue of medicine, given that she suffers from heart disease and one of her sons suffers from several respiratory diseases and needs medicines periodically.
Maqbola pointed out that providing only 2-room housing for her and her children by the communes and councils in Aleppo is a dream for her.
As for the return, Maqbola says that they could not reach the Autonomous Administration representation in Lebanon, and came in another way that was financially and physically expensive, as they needed 4 days to leave Lebanon and reach the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, during which it was a 7-hour walk.
It is noteworthy that the number of arrivals from Lebanon, to the NE Syria, has reached 18,546 people, including 58 Lebanese, since the formation of the representative of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in Lebanon, a committee on September 24, to follow up on the affairs of Syrian refugees.
