Daesh member arrested in Deir ez-Zor Canton
The Internal Security Forces in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria have arrested a Daesh member responsible for targeting civilians in Deir ez-Zor Canton.
The media center of the Internal Security Forces in NE Syria announced that its General Security Forces apprehended the Daesh member, providing details of the operations on its official sites, accompanied by photos.
The center confirmed that the General Security Forces executed a precise security operation that led to the arrest of a mercenary from Daesh in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
The center stated that the operation followed careful surveillance and the gathering of information about his movements, allowing the General Security Forces to pinpoint his location.
It was confirmed that this mercenary was responsible for targeting civilians and military personnel and committing acts aimed at undermining security and stability in the region.
During the operation, various equipment was seized from him, including an AK-47 rifle, seven AK-47 magazines, one military pouch, and three mobile phones.
The center noted that the relevant authorities are currently continuing investigations with the terrorist element, preparing to transfer him and the seized items to the competent judiciary for further legal proceedings.
