1 killed, 6 injured in grenade incident in Kanaker, Damascus countryside

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that one person was killed and six others injured by a grenade during an armed clash that broke out following a dispute between individuals in Kanaker, in the Damascus countryside.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported today that one person was killed and six others injured following an armed clash in the town of Kanaker in the Damascus countryside, during which a grenade was thrown into a gathering of residents.

According to the observatory, the incident began with a dispute between several individuals before escalating into an armed confrontation. During the clash, one of the parties to the dispute threw a grenade into a group of people, killing one person and injuring six others to varying degrees.

The observatory said security forces arrived at the scene and worked to contain the fighting and prevent it from spreading. The injured were taken to the National Hospital in Quneitra province for recieving the medical treatment, amid continued tensions in the town.
