YPJ Leader: Hasakah is immune to sedition, our forces are ready to confront any attack

Raya Mohammad, a leader in the ranks of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) and a native of Deir ez-Zor, spoke to ANHA agency, confirming that the forces stationed in the city of Hasakah are on full alert to confront any threat targeting the city’s security and stability.

Raya, who belongs to the al-Baggara tribe, pointed out that the forces are deployed on the front lines, particularly around Panorama Roundabout, affirming that the civilian situation is stable thanks to the sacrifices of male and female fighters. She said: “We are on full readiness, and if war is imposed on us, we are prepared to defend ourselves and our people.”

She warned of attempts aimed at creating discord and division between Kurds and Arabs, stressing that such schemes seek to undermine the brotherhood of peoples and to commit massacres against the indigenous peoples of the region. She added that the awareness of the people of the area and the unity of its components are sufficient to thwart these attempts.

The YPJ leader emphasized that all forces, from all components, stand united to protect Hasakah and its surroundings, and will not allow mercenaries to enter or the security of the region to be destabilized, reaffirming their determination to continue confronting any threat targeting the area.

She also confirmed that the forces will not allow attempts to smuggle ISIS mercenaries out, and will remain vigilant against them, noting that all schemes being plotted against the region will be foiled by the will of the fighters and the unity of the peoples.
