Women in Kobani march for women's revolution gains

Hundreds of women in the besieged city of Kobani organized a march under the slogan "With the will of the resisting women, we will defend the revolution and our existence" to protect the gains of the Rojava Revolution.

The march began at Free Women's Square. Flags of the Kongra Star and green, red, and yellow flags were raised. Banners bearing slogans such as "Women, Life, Freedom," "Resistance is Life," and "Long Live the Rojava Resistance" were also displayed.

The march paused at Martyr Agid Square, where the participants observed a minute of silence. Khanaf Khalil, a member of the Kongra Star Coordination Committee, then delivered a speech, saying, "We will protect the gains of the Rojava Revolution with the will of the resisting women. Women have resisted the occupiers and conspirators, proving to the world that women have the strength and ability to change the world."

Khanaf condemned the cutting of a braid by a mercenary affiliated with the interim government, saying, "There are millions of braids. Women started the revolution with their braids, and they continue to resist with them. We will resist and protect the gains of the Rojava Revolution and the existence of women."

The march concluded with chants of "Resistance is life" and "Women, life, freedom."
