Women from Deir ez-Zor who spoke to our agency (ANHA) confirmed that the crimes committed against civilians in the coastal region, especially in Jableh and the areas with an Alawite majority, cannot be justified under any pretext.

A member of the local council in the town of Abu al-Hassan in the Deir ez-Zor caton , Huda al-Salem, said in this regard: "We hold the new Damascus administration responsible for these crimes that led to the deaths of hundreds of civilians, including children and women," in the coast.

Huda pointed out that what is happening there (the coast) represents an extension of the years of repression that the Syrians have lived through, and it is a continuation of the brutal policies that do not align with any human values.

For her part, the co-chair of the Abu al-Hasan Town Council, Nasra al-Akhar, emphasized the need for the Damascus authorities to handle these tensions through legal means, rather than targeting innocent civilians.

Nasra Al-Aaskar condemned these massacres against Syrians, emphasizing that their continuation threatens the social fabric of Syria. She called for holding those responsible accountable in international courts to ensure such crimes are not repeated.

She affirmed by saying: "We look forward to comprehensive solutions to build a democratic, pluralistic, decentralized Syria that protects all components and minorities, and rebuilds institutions with the participation of all peoples."

While the spokesperson for the Youth and Sports Committee in the Deir ez-Zor countryside, Hanaa Al-Dakheel, explained that the continuation of random killings and genocide policies reflects the absence of justice in Syria, she added that allowing armed groups affiliated with some external parties, such as Turkey, to interfere in Syrian military affairs has led to the spread of violence, which requires urgent international action to stop these violations.

The three figures called for a comprehensive international investigation to hold accountable those responsible for the crimes committed in the Syrian coastal region, as well as ensuring the protection of civilians from targeting, regardless of their affiliations. They also urged the cessation of forced displacement policies and systematic violence against civilians, and emphasized the importance of promoting political and diplomatic solutions to ensure peace and stability in Syria.
