Women call on people of southern Kurdistan to confront KDP' policies

These demands come after gunmen affiliated with the Kurdistan Democratic Party ambushed the People Defense Forces in the Amadiyah region in southern Kurdistan, wounding 2 fighters, according to a statement issued by the People Defense Forces last Thursday.

The recent attack by the Kurdistan Democratic Party on January 24 against the HPG sparked condemnation in political and popular circles, and a number of Kurdish parties condemned this attack.

Where women from Tirbespiyê district in the Jazera Canton called on the Peshmerga and the people of southern Kurdistan to confront the policies of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.

In turn, Khurma Ali urged the people of southern Kurdistan to “stand up to these policies,” and called on the Kurdistan Democratic Party to stop these policies, “which represent the greatest betrayal of the Kurdish cause and serve the interests of the enemies of the Kurds.”

Lamaan Muhammad confirmed that they support the Gêrîlla forces, "which avenge the blood of the Kurds by directing painful blows to the enemies of the Kurds."

The attack, which took place on January 24, is the latest in a series of attacks launched by the Kurdistan Democratic Party on the HPG over the past four decades.
