Reactions continue to grow following recent alerts about his health status, amid the ongoing isolation imposed on him in Imrali Prison since 1999 and its serious implications for his physical well-being.

In this context, women’s rights activist Rohat Khalil stated that the prolonged period of isolation has left clear impacts on leader Ocalan’s health, noting that his continued detention under such conditions further worsens his situation.

Khalil added that despite isolation, the leader continues his struggle inside prison and remains capable of influencing and guiding the Kurdish people, stressing that the approach he has advanced has spread widely through his books and messages, resonating with broad segments of society.

For his part, Muhyiddin Hassan, a member of the Martyrs’ Families Council in Qamishlo, condemned the continued isolation, pointing out that leader Ocalan’s detention has exceeded 27 years, describing it as a violation of international laws, particularly given his age.

Hassan also noted that throughout his imprisonment, leader Ocalan has presented several initiatives aimed at peace and democracy, but these have not been met with a response from the Turkish state. He called for intensified public mobilization across Kurdistan to demand his release.

He concluded by urging political forces, particularly the Peoples’ Democratic Party, to intensify efforts and work toward legal changes that would ensure an end to the isolation and achieve leader Ocalan’s physical freedom.
