A delegation from the Peoples' Democratic Party (DEM) and the Democratic Regions Party visited the Democratic Union Party (PYD) representation in Sulaymaniyah. They highlighted the role of political parties in resolving the Kurdish issue and supporting the peace process.

The delegation included the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-chair Keskin Bayinder, members of the Foreign Relations Committee Bedran Ozturk and Ebru Gunay, as well as the Equality Party MP in Mardin, Saliha Aydeniz, and the former mayor of Silopi, Adalat Fidan.

The delegation was received by the Democratic Union Party (PYD) representative in the Kurdistan Region, Jawidan Kamal Hassan, and a member of the party's General Council, Berivan Mohammed.

During the meeting, the attendees discussed Leader Abdullah Ocalan's historic call for "peace and a democratic society," noting the vital role played by political parties in the Kurdistan Region in resolving the Kurdish issue and consolidating peace.

The delegation's visit continues, and it is scheduled to meet with several other parties as part of strengthening political dialogue.
