Two women missing in Tartus, Latakia amid rising disappearances

Contact was lost with Naama Mohamed Ibrahim (34), a resident of the village of Kharbat al-Ma’za in rural Tartus, on Monday, October 6, after she left her home heading to the city of Tartus. Her whereabouts remain completely unknown, and the circumstances of her disappearance are still unclear, with no confirmed information about her location or the reasons behind the incident, according to local sources.

In a similar case, Hadeel Ajdari, a fifth-year student in the Psychology Counseling Department at Tishrin University in Latakia, went missing yesterday after leaving for university and has not returned home, causing increasing concern for her family.

These incidents coincide with the ongoing disappearance of Samar Ismail, a mother of four, who went missing on Saturday evening after leaving her home to visit her sister in the Dator neighborhood but never reached her destination. Additionally, child Mohammed Qais Haidar was abducted by an unknown armed group in front of his school in the Tenth Project neighborhood last Wednesday, prompting calls for school strikes to pressure authorities to secure his release and restore security.
