Two members of Internal Security injured attack in rural Deir ez-Zor

The General Command of the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria issued a statement to the public, revealing that one of their vehicles was subjected to an armed attack.

The statement read:

"To our people and public opinion:

This morning, one of our forces' vehicles operating in the Operations Division was subjected to an armed attack by a terrorist group while carrying out its security duties near the town of Mahmida in the western Deir ez-Zor countryside.

The treacherous attack resulted in the injury of two members of our forces. Our security forces immediately began combing the area and opening a comprehensive investigation to identify the perpetrators and pursue them to ensure they are brought to justice.

We, in the General Command of the Internal Security Forces - North and East Syria Region, affirm that such cowardly terrorist acts will not deter us from performing our duty to maintain security and stability and protect our people in the region. We also call on all residents to cooperate with our forces by reporting any suspicious movements or information that may contribute to uncovering these outlaw groups.
