Two Killed and armed clashes reported in Syria over 24 hours 

Over the past 24 hours, various parts of Syria have witnessed a series of security incidents. These included the killing of a young man in the western countryside of Homs and the death of a child caused by the explosion of a war-remnant mine in the eastern countryside of Aleppo. Additionally, an armed clash broke out between two groups affiliated with the Syrian Ministry of Defense in the Afrin countryside, alongside violent tribal clashes in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

In the Al-Qabu area of ​​western Homs province, a 24-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified gunmen after being abducted from his workplace, where he was employed as a guard at an agricultural facility.

Meanwhile, in the city of Deir Hafir in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, a child died from severe injuries sustained when a war-remnant landmine exploded. The incident occurred during excavation work—intended for tree planting—in front of a house near the city's eastern entrance, close to Al-Ra'id Hospital and the bridge; the child was struck by shrapnel and subsequently succumbed to his wounds.

In the Afrin countryside, an armed clash broke out between two groups of personnel operating under the Syrian Ministry of Defense near the village of Kokana (in the Mobata district). The incident began as a dispute that escalated into a physical altercation and subsequently an armed clash, resulting in injuries to several participants. Military police patrols from Afrin and Aleppo intervened to break up the fight and restore calm, detaining a number of individuals involved from both sides.

Meanwhile, in the village of Al-Zar in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, violent clashes erupted between cousins ​​belonging to the "Al-Akidat" tribe. The fighting involved the heavy use of machine guns and RPGs, with gunfire continuing at the time of writing.

Reports indicate that the clashes stemmed from a tribal vendetta and a prior dispute that had previously resulted in a fatality; hostilities reignited today amidst a climate of tension and heightened alert in the area. There is currently no confirmed information regarding the number of casualties resulting from the fighting.
