Two drug dealers arrested in Jazera Canton

The media center of the Internal Security Forces in NE Syria published information on its official website today regarding the arrest of two drug dealers in Jazera Canton.

In its statement, the center said: "On Friday, November 22, our forces arrested two individuals involved in drug trafficking in the city of Qamishlo."

It added: "As part of the ongoing efforts of the Anti-Narcotics Forces to target anyone who deals in, promotes, or uses these dangerous substances and to bring them to justice, our forces managed to arrest two dealers in a carefully planned ambush, seizing 272 Captagon pills in their possession."

The center clarified: "The arrests were made after monitoring the individuals as part of ongoing investigations conducted by our forces throughout Jazera Canton to curb the spread, promotion, and use of these substances."

It further noted: "During the investigations, the two individuals confessed to promoting drugs and were referred to the Public Prosecution Office for the necessary legal action."
