In the context of the continuation of the series of crimes of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries against the remaining people of occupied Afrin, the occupation mercenaries threatened the people with kidnapping if they did not pay the royalties imposed on them during the olive harvest season.

During the olive harvest season, the Turkish occupation mercenaries imposed royalties on the people, some of which amounted to 5,000 US dollars, which exceeds the people’s ability, in light of the difficult living conditions.

Sources from the Human Rights Organization - Afrin reported from inside occupied Afrin that the mercenaries of Sultan Suleiman Shah, known as “Al-Amshat,” on Sunday, February 19, warned 10 Kurdish citizens from the village of Kakhara in the Mabata district of the occupied Afrin countryside, to pay royalties under the threat of kidnapping.

The sources reported that the mercenaries gave the people a maximum of 2 days from the date of their warning after they raided their homes, and threatened them with kidnapping and arrest if they did not comply with the payment. Among them was identified as Muhammad Isso Isso, who is required to pay 5,000 US dollars, and Ramzi Qassem was not responsible.
