Roj news agency reported, citing its sources, that military engineering teams affiliated with the Turkish occupation state have begun constructing "6 new military barracks" around the eastern and western parts of Amadiya in Duhok.

The same sources mentioned that the "medium military barracks" house dozens of soldiers and are used by Turkish forces as movement points during their attacks on areas in Southern Kurdistan, noting that the construction of these barracks is part of the occupation's incursion into "the depths of the territory from the direction of Amadiya."

Since last June, the occupying Turkish state, in cooperation with the Kurdistan Democratic Party, has been conducting intense bombardments targeting villages and towns in Southern Kurdistan, resulting in significant human and material losses.
