Roj Agency reported: Local reports indicated that the Turkish occupation army wrote the phrase “No entry, Turkey’s borders” in Arabic in the villages of Amêdiyê and the Barwarî Bala area in Southern Kurdistan, which sparked the anger of the local population.

The border areas in Southern Kurdistan are witnessing escalating tensions over the ongoing Turkish military incursions, amidst fears of local residents about Turkey’s expansionist intentions in the region.

This announcement is considered as a blatant violation of Iraqi sovereignty and a provocation that calls for a firm response from the Iraqi government and the international community.

Many local leaders and political movements called for confronting the Turkish expansion, and preserving the rights of the local population.
