Today, Turkish gendarmerie (border guards) severely beat and tortured three young Syrian men while they were trying to cross the border from the Idlib countryside into Turkish territory, which led to their serious injuries, after which they were transferred to the hospital by farmers.

The young man, Khalaf Yasser al-Juma (28), from the al-Mayadeen area in the Deir-ez-Zor countryside, lost his life due to his severe injuries as a result of the severe torture he was subjected to. As for the other two young men, they sustained multiple injuries and fractures throughout their bodies.

The mercenaries of "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" refused to hand over the body of the deceased young man to his family.

This crime is added to a series of crimes committed against civilians by the Turkish gendarmerie on the Syrian-Turkish border, which have been repeated in recent years to a large extent, as many cases of murder and sexual assault have been recorded on the Syrian-Turkish border without any action from human rights organizations.
