Transitional govt.'s members assault, kidnap young men from Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafiyeh

On Monday, members of the Syrian transitional government forces assaulted a number of young men in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods, while several others were kidnapped, according to ANHA agency's documentation.

According to informed sources, those carrying out these attacks and violations in the vicinity of the two neighborhoods belong to the so-called 60th, 72nd, and 76th Divisions, affiliated with the Ministry of Defense of the Syrian transitional government.

One of the kidnappings took place on Monday near the Agricultural Park, located next to the Agriculture Directorate in Aleppo city, after a severe beating of several young men with the weapon's butt.

One of the groups that kidnapped two young men and assaulted another was seen driving a white pickup truck, whose members were wearing masks, balaclavas, and black clothing.

According to information obtained by ANHA correspondent, more than seven young men were kidnapped on Monday in various locations.

The transitional government in Syria continues to prevent fuel supplies from reaching the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods, despite a recent agreement to open three roads leading to the two neighborhoods. This has led to reduced electricity supply and the possibility of a complete shutdown, according to the People's Municipality.
