In a popular initiative, residents of Qamishlo are preparing to hold a mass rally on Thursday to demand the preservation of the Kurdish language and its recognition as an official language in the Syrian constitution, under the slogan "Language is our existence and identity."

The march is scheduled to begin at 10:30 AM in front of the Sony Roundabout in Qamishlo, with broad participation from the city's residents, including teachers and students.

In this context, residents of Qamishlo began distributing leaflets on Wednesday in the neighborhoods, urging them to participate widely in the march and emphasizing the importance of protecting the Kurdish language, promoting its status, and making it an official language in the Syrian constitution.
