Throats of thousands in Darbasiyah call for unity and resistance

Today, the city of Darbasiyah in Al-Jazira Canton witnessed a massive popular demonstration, with wide participation from residents, youth, members of civil institutions and councils, and representatives of Kurdish political parties.

The co-chair of the Darbasiyah City Council, Noman Arabo, delivered a speech in which he praised the heroism of the Syrian Democratic Forces and their confrontation with the plans of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, referring to the painful strikes directed at them by the SDF.

He added: "With the overthrow of the Baath regime in Syria and the challenges facing the country, the Turkish occupation state is exploiting the chaos to launch its attacks on NE Syria, with the aim of breaking the will of the components and committing massacres against them."

Arabo called for the necessity of achieving Kurdish national unity, saying: “Communicating our voice to the global arenas and to the central government of Damascus requires unifying the ranks of Kurdish movements and parties. Kurdish national unity is not just a demand, but rather a necessity to achieve peace and freedom for all components of NE Syria.”

The demonstration ended with chanting slogans saluting the resistance of the Syrian Democratic Forces and calling for unity and union.
