A war remnant exploded in a stream in the northern al-Sabiri neighborhood of Kanaker town in rural Damascus, killing three children immediately, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

This tragic incident comes amid the continued loss of life caused by these remnants of war, with no serious measures taken by the Syrian interim government to remove them. These remnants have become a major threat to the lives of Syrians in areas under its control.

The number of civilians who have lost their lives since the fall of the regime on December 8, 2024, until today, as a result of the explosion of objects, materials, and ammunition left over from the war, has reached 653 people, including 189 children and 42 women.
