Thousands in Raqqa affirm, "SDF is our dignity"

On Tuesday, the people of Raqqa province organized a massive public march, expressing their full support for the Syrian Democratic Forces. Thousands from various components and segments of the province participated in the march.

Thousands of residents of the province gathered in the city's Free Women's Square, along with representatives of the Democratic Autonomous Administration and its affiliated institutions and councils, women's and youth movements, and the military and security forces of Raqqa province.

The large crowds participating in the march affirmed their full commitment to standing with their forces, SDF, through the slogans they chanted, "Long Live SDF's Resistance" and "We Are All SDF." They also raised banners with "We Support SDF, We Are All SDF, SDF Is Our Dignity," "SDF Is The True Guarantee For The Country," "SDF Is The Safety Valve For Syria," and "We Are All Deir Hafer," written on.

The crowds roamed the streets of Raqqa city, reaching Naeem roundabout, where they turned into a mass rally. Sheikh Zuhair al-Abdullah, the sheikh of Bani Asid al-Zubaidi tribe, delivered a speech condemning the massacre committed by factions affiliated with the Syrian transitional government in Deir Hafer area, which resulted in civilian casualties. He held the transitional government the fully responsible for these provocative acts that threaten security and civil peace in North and East Syria.

Sheikh Zuhair affirmed that the former Syrian regime is responsible for the dispersal of Syrians and the perpetration of massacres and violations. He criticized the continuation of the same approach by the current regime in Damascus, which has excluded other Syrians from political participation and has reverted to a more oppressive regime.

Zuhair al-Abdullah explained that the Syrian Democratic Forces emerged from the suffering of the Syrian people and include all components of the Syrian people; Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, and Turkmen. They have made great sacrifices in fighting ISIS and protecting the region, affirming the full support of the people of North and East Syria for SDF.

Al-Abdullah called for adherence to the agreement signed between the commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, and Ahmed al-Sharaa, the head of the transitional government in Syria, and rejected any escalation by the mercenary factions. He stated that the blood of civilians would not be shed in vain, and emphasized the need to stand united behind the national forces.

Zahra Shalash, in turn, delivered a speech on behalf of the women of Raqqa, affirming their full support for the Syrian Democratic Forces and their pride in their sacrifices in liberating the city from the mercenaries. She strongly rejected Ahmed al-Sharaa's statements calling for the assistance of the Turkish army, describing them as treason.

At the end of her speech, Zahra Shalash condemned the crimes committed by the Turkish occupation state and demanded that the transitional government in Syria assume its responsibilities and expel the Turkish occupation. She affirmed the commitment of the women of Raqqa to continue the struggle for freedom and dignity.

The massive march concluded with chanting the slogans praising and supporting the Syrian Democratic Forces, affirming their support for them everywhere and at all times.
