Kongra Star collects 1,500 messages from women to Leader Ocalan

The Kongra Star announced the collection of 1,500 letters written by women from six cities in Jazira canton, which will be sent to Leader Abdullah Ocalan, requiring a meeting with him and his physical freedom.

In the framework of "I Want to Meet Abdullah Ocalan" campaign, the Kongra Star organized a series of events in the cities of Jazira canton, concluding on Tuesday with the collection of letters and the issuance of a statement about the activities.

Kongra Star's member Alaa Ibrahim explained that the events began on September 9 and included six cities; Hasaka, Tel Tamr, Dirbasiyah, Tel Brak, al-Hol, and al-Shaddadi.

She noted that the activities included poetry evenings, group meetings, letter writing, and marches, and the achieved widespread engagement with the participation of women from various ethnic groups (Kurdish, Arab, Syriac, and Armenian), along with representatives of several organizations.

The Kongra confirmed that 1,500 letters written by women to Leader Abdullah Ocalan were collected and delivered to the Kongra Star headquarters in Hasaka, in preparation for sending them to the Leader Abdullah Ocalan, who has been imprisoned in Imrali Island Prison since 1999.
