QAMISHLO

The people of Jazera Canton did not stand idly by in the face of the attacks of the Turkish occupation state, nor were they intimidated by the sounds of targeting aircraft that were heard during several events. The people of the city of Qamishlo went out in a massive march denouncing the attacks under the slogan “Defending the Rojava Revolution against the invasion of the Turkish state.”

Residents gathered near the Sony roundabout in the center of the city, where a house was bombed an hour before the start of the march by a Turkish occupation drone. The participants raised victory signs and set off chanting the slogan “Revenge is coming.”

After the participants arrived at the Martyr Rubar Qamishlo roundabout near the Muhammad Sheikho Center for Culture and Art, they stood for a minute of silence, then a member of the Popular Initiative, Ayed Ibrahim, saluted the resistance of the people of the region in the face of the Turkish attacks.

And continued, "We will continue to resist until we win."

For its part, the Union of Toilers in North and East Syria noted that, for the third day in a row, the Turkish occupation state is waging a hostile war against the regions of Rojava and north and east Syria through air attacks by warplanes and drones, which have led to the destruction of infrastructure.

At a time when the Union of Toilers condemned the occupation attacks, through a statement read by the co-chair of the Union of Toilers in the North and East Syria Region, Shiro Sharo, in front of the Democratic Society Movement Center in the city of Qamishlo, he called on all trade unions and all free people in the world to stand in solidarity with the North and East Syria region and raise their voices against the crimes of the Turkish state.
