TEV-DEM, MFC offer condolences to Murad Karayilan over passing away his mother

Hadla Karayilan passed away yesterday in the Prijok area in northern Kurdistan.

The text of the condolence telegram stated: We received the news of the passing away the Mother Hadla Karayilan with deep sadness. We extend our deepest condolences to the family of Comrade Murad Karayilan. We also extend our condolences to all their relatives and the people of Kurdistan.

The mother made sacrifices and actively participated in the Kurdistan liberation struggle, through a deep connection to the just Kurdish cause, and became a symbol for Kurdish mothers.

TEV-DEM telegram stated, “ with graet sadness received news of passing away the Mother Hadla Karayilan, the mother of Comrade Murat Karayilan, the member of the leadership body of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party and Commander-in-Chief of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG).

  The Mother Hadla had a long history and reputation as a patriotic woman with the struggle of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement from its founding until the time of her passing away, as this patriotic family faced the difficulties of Turkish fascist policies for dozens of years. The late woman had an influential role among Kurdish patriots in general, and she donated the most precious possessions she had as a revolutionary. We extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to Comrade Murad Karayilan and his national family and to all the male and female comrades and leaders of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement, and in general to our Kurdistan people and all components of the region.”
