TEV-DEM: congratulates leader Ocalan and kurdish people on Newroz occasion

On the occasion of Nowroz, which falls on March 21 of every year, the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) issued a written statement, a copy of which we received.

At the beginning of its statement, the movement congratulated the leader Abdullah Ocalan, the Kurdistan people, the families of the martyrs, the resistance of detainees in prisons, and the fighters on the frontlines, on the occasion of the Newroz.

And confirmed that the flame of the sacred fire, which was lit by Kawa Al-Hadad, was a sign of victory and freedom, the end of dictatorship and slavery, and the announcement of the beginning of the birth of a new day and a free life.

The movement said about the Kurdish people, "It celebrates Newroz annually and clings to the euphoria of victory over thousands of years and defends its heritage and symbols, starting from prisons to mountaintops, and from cities to all squares throughout Kurdistan and the world, thanks to the sacrifices made by our resisting people in the face of all tyrants and occupiers."

It pointed out that Leader Abdullah Ocalan revived the true and historical essence of the meanings of Nowroz, and stressed by saying: “In this spirit, we will make Nowroz this fateful year a year of broad global solidarity to demand the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan and a political solution to the Kurdish issue, the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan means the victory of our gains, our historical achievements, and the will of the peoples in NE Syria.”

In its statement, the movement was determined to escalate the struggle and strengthen popular cohesion in the spirit of Nowroz, confront tyrannical plans, thwart all plans, and liberate all occupied areas.

TEV DEM called on all components in NE Syria to visit the shrines of the martyrs on the eve of Nowroz,, light candles on balconies and decorate the entrances and squares of the cities.
