TEV DEM congratulates 45th anniversary of founding of PKK

Today, through a statement, the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) congratulated the forty-fifth anniversary of the birth of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, and said: “We congratulate all members and leaders of the party, led by leader Abdullah Ocalan, all fighters of the People Defense Forces, the Free Women’s Units - Star, the political detainees, all the families of the martyrs, all our Kurdistan people and all components.”

The Democratic Society Movement affirmed that: “The true leadership is the one who laid the foundations and scientific principles for building a social, national, and democratic liberal revolution based on women’s freedom, and with their own capabilities, after an analytical and strategic historical study carried out by Leader Abdullah Ocalan with a group of ideological and intellectual comrades.”

The Democratic Society Movement confirmed: “The birth of the party was a painful and historical response to the Turkish fascist occupation state, and the beginning of a new dawn towards building a stage of great national transformation, in restoring hope and confidence among all segments of our Kurdistan society, to transform into a Kurdish national liberation revolution with the vanguard of women and youth. a revolution that chose for itself the path of resistance towards freedom to represent the will of the peoples yearning for freedom in the region and the world as a result of the influence of the legendary epics of resistance demonstrated by the members and leaders of the party in prisons, mountains and cities in order to protect cultural, moral and societal values against the fascist tyrants and Turkish occupiers.”

The movement noted that: “A history full of events that cannot be predicted, during which the party faced many difficulties and suffering, as a result of regional and international conspiracies that were being hatched against the philosophy of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement, and to this day the Turkish fascist state is still waging a bloody war against the will of our Kurdish people to everywhere, massacres are committed on a daily basis, and all types of weapons are used, including chemical weapons. This criminal escalation comes in response to the global solidarity campaigns for the physical freedom of leader Ocalan and the political solution to the Kurdish issue, and the massive celebrations of the people in all squares on the occasion of the birth of the party, which has become known as the Kurdistan Freedom Movement on its forty-fifth anniversary.”

The TEV DEM confirmed that the struggle and resistance of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement expanded and spread by defeating the Turkish “fascist” policies, as a result of the will and insistence on legitimate protection through contemporary means of resistance. Thousands of great sacrifices were also made in order to provide moral and emotional support to the peoples’ resistance, as in Şengal, Makhmour, the regions of NE Syria, and all of Kurdistan.

The movement said: “We in the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) salute the history of resistance to the Kurdistan Workers Party and salute its creative national and humanitarian stances. We also extend our salutes to our Kurdish people and all societal components, and to all free people and democrats in the world for their moral and ethical support and their insistence on the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan and the solution of the Kurdish issue, by organizing the largest solidarity campaigns in the world, which have exceeded more than a hundred global centers.

The Democratic Society Movement called on all Kurdish, Arab and international national and political forces, civil society activities, women’s cultural and human rights organizations to join the solidarity campaigns, which constitutes the strength and will of societies towards unifying efforts to achieve the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and the only guarantor who has the appropriate paths of solutions in these difficult stages that the world and the region are going through.
