Amid the broad popular response to the general mobilization announced by the Autonomous Administration of al-Jazira Canton, the Protection Committees in the city of Tal Tamr continue to carry out their community and security role by raising their level of readiness and strengthening coordination with residents, with the aim of protecting the city and maintaining its security and stability.

During a field tour, ANHA correspondent documented the views of several members of the Protection Committees and local residents, who confirmed that they are operating according to an organized plan that includes securing neighborhoods, organizing community patrols, and monitoring any emergency that could threaten the city’s stability.

In this context, Protection Committee member Mohammad Nouhi stated that “responding to the general mobilization is a moral responsibility before it is an organizational duty. We are working side by side with the residents to protect our city and prevent any threat to its security.”

He stressed that they will not abandon the city of Tal Tamr under any circumstances, saying: “Strength lies in the unity of the community components, and we are fully prepared to support the Syrian Democratic Forces in confronting any attacks on the region.”

For his part, citizen Samer Dawoud said that “the city is witnessing a state of organization and preparedness, supported by a spirit of collective responsibility and solidarity among all components,” affirming his attachment to his land and city, and adding: “We will not leave it no matter what happens.”

Dawoud addressed a message to the residents of Tal Tamr, saying: “We, the residents, must all unite, support the Syrian Democratic Forces, and not be drawn in by mercenary media outlets, which are waging a fierce media war aimed at displacing us and occupying our areas.”

Meanwhile, Protection Committee member Ramo Haidar emphasized that responding to the general mobilization is not merely a military act, but rather a national and moral stance that affirms the residents’ attachment to their land and their right to live in safety and dignity.

He confirmed that the Protection Committees will continue to carry out their duties with a sense of responsibility and cooperation, in line with the will of the people and their demands for security and stability, calling on residents to continue solidarity and uphold the spirit of collective responsibility.

Haidar concluded by saying: “We will not leave the city of Tal Tamr. When ISIS mercenaries attacked us, we did not leave, and today the same scenario is repeating itself. The factions of the transitional government are attacking us, but we affirm that we will not abandon our city and will confront all attacks.”
