Tal Tamr Communities Unite Against Hate Speech

Amid the sensitive circumstances in the region and growing discussions about the need to strengthen social cohesion, the residents of Tal Tamr in the Jazira Canton reaffirmed their rejection of all forms of hate speech.

Citizen Sanaa Abboud, from the Arab community, said: “The Rojava region, and North and East Syria, bring together all religions in a democratic, harmonious, and cooperative framework. People have lived here for centuries, united in love and friendship.”

She added: “Currently, there are attempts to sow discord between Arabs and Kurds to create division, but the community rejects any external intervention that threatens the unity of the area,” emphasizing that land and rights are shared among everyone.

Citizen Tony Hanna, from the Assyrian community, explained: “Tal Tamr is a beautiful and diverse mix of communities that have coexisted peacefully, despite attempts by some to exploit weak-minded individuals and turn certain groups into tools of conflict.”

He affirmed that, thanks to the ideas of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, over the past 14 challenging years full of wars, the local community has managed to preserve its social and historical structure.

Citizen Zahra Amin, from the Kurdish community, noted that recent events in the autonomous administration areas have significantly affected the community, and some have tried to spread discord among communities, especially between Kurds and Arabs, amid growing rumors and threats on social media.

She added: “Despite this, Kurds, Arabs, and Assyrian Syriacs remain united and support each other,” confirming their rejection of sectarianism and racism, which they have managed to overcome during the years of revolution and struggle.

Citizen Marwan Al-Khalaf stated: “Despite recent tensions, especially on social media, the people of the region affirmed unity. The Kurdish and Arab communities reject division and confirm the continuation of the solidarity established since the Rojava revolution.”

Residents of Tal Tamr collectively reject any attempts to incite the community against itself, emphasizing that unity and respect are the foundations of shared life.
