Tal Tamer and Zarghan communities call for physical freedom of Ocalan

Hundreds of Arabs, Kurds, Assyrians and Syriacs participated in a march demanding the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan in the city of Tal Tamer in the Jazira Canton on Saturday, which was attended by hundreds of Arabs, Kurds and Assyrians.

The march started in front of the Martyrs' Families Council headquarters in Tal Tamer and traveled through the main streets of the city to the Qandil roundabout, where it turned into a mass rally, where participants raised pictures of Abdullah Ocalan and chanted: "There is no life without the leader." The co-chair of the march emphasized that there is no life without the leader.

"The international conspiracy that targeted Abdullah Ocalan was the result of the global hegemonic powers, led by Turkey, realizing the danger of the leader's democratic project to their colonial interests," said Jamila Kako, co-chair of the People's Municipality of Tal Tamer.

She added: "The leader's project is a project of unity of peoples and coexistence between components, which terrifies regimes based on division and hegemony."

She stressed that the people of northern and eastern Syria, with all their components, pledge to continue the struggle, emphasizing: “We are committed until we achieve the physical freedom of the leader and live with dignity and justice.”

The co-chair of the Tal Tamer Education Complex, Ayhan al-Younis, said: "leader Abdullah Ocalan has been in Imrali Prison for 27 years, only because he demanded democracy and people's rights. However, his resistance continues and he has never compromised on his principles, despite the torture and isolation to which he has been subjected."

She called on the international community to pressure the Turkish state to immediately release the leader, calling for a humanitarian and legal stance from international bodies and human rights organizations.

The march ended with participants chanting slogans expressing their adherence to the cause and their rejection of any alternative to freedom, most notably "There is no life without leader Abdullah Ocalan."
