Tabqa protest calls for achieving leader Ocalan's physical freedom

The people of Tabqa district and its countryside, members of civil and service institutions, and the Zenobia Women’s Gathering Council went out today in a march, during which they demanded the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The march started from the first district in the center of Tabqa and toured the neighborhoods of the city, with participants chanting, “There is no life without the leader,” “Down with the international conspiracy,” and raising banners that read, “The physical freedom of the leader is the political solution to the Kurdish issue,” and “The freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan is our freedom.”

The participants observed a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, and then the member of the protection committees, Amina Abdul Razzaq, gave a speech in which she said: “The Turkish occupation state imposes strict isolation on the leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali prison and prevents his family and lawyers from meeting with him, amid the silence of international and human rights forces. So we affirm that is contrary to all moral and humanitarian values.”

In turn, Amjad Al-Narjis, the member of the Syrian Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, said: “Leader Ocalan represents the cause of a people struggling for their freedom, as the leader reached the conclusion that the issue is not only the issue of the Kurdish people, but rather the issue of humanity, nature, and noble values against the forces of Hegemony, Globalism and capitalist modernity. He stressed the escalation of the struggle to achieve leader's physical freedom.

The march ended with chanting, “There is no life without the leader.”
