The U.S. dollar exchange rate in the provinces of Damascus, Aleppo, and Idlib reached 9,450 SYP for selling and 9,350 SYP for buying, an increase of 350 pounds from yesterday. The euro also rose to 10,800 SYP for selling and 10,650 for buying, up by about 561 pounds.

In the regions of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, rates also increased, with the dollar reaching 9,700 SYP for selling and 9,500 for buying, while the euro rose to 11,150 for selling and 11,000 for buying.

The exchange rate is expected to rise after Eid al-Adha due to a decline in foreign remittances, which have recently played a major role in lowering the exchange rate as a result of the influx of hard currency into the market.
