"Syrian Airlines" increase ticket for flights between Qamishlo -Damascus

In a move that will burden citizens, the Damascus government raised the price of the "Syrian Airlines" ticket between Qamishlo and Damascus and vice versa, to one and a half million Syrian pounds, after it was previously 914 thousand Syrian pounds.

The company announced on Tuesday the resumption of operating its regular flights between the capital and Qamishlo and vice versa, with a weekly flight every Friday.

The Al-Watan newspaper, which is close to the Damascus government, said that the company raised the salaries of its workers, who number about 3,500 people, by 100%, after raising the ticket price by up to 80%.

The newspaper revealed that the private sector, represented by "Eloma Company", took over the management of the airline, as part of the policies followed by the Damascus government, which means handing over state sectors to individuals and private companies close to the ruling circles in Damascus, without caring about the suffering of citizens who are already suffering from the repercussions of the Syrian crisis.
