Syrian Activist urges legal rights for leader Ocalan

 Speaking on behalf of the Syrian Initiative for the Physical Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan in the Euphrates Canton, Bekir El Jerade stated that the Turkish state has yet to take any concrete steps toward resolving the Kurdish question or implementing the "Right to Hope." Instead, it aims to delay and gain time. He pointed to the campaign launched under the slogan, "I Want to Meet Leader Abdullah Ocalan," as a form of pressure to end the isolation imposed on the leader and ensure the safeguarding of his legal rights.

 Jerade described the establishment of the leader Abdullah Ocalan Freedom Initiative Center in Kobanî a few days ago as a demonstration of continued commitment to a historic struggle against enslavement. He noted that the leader's philosophy and ideas have spread globally among freedom fighters and loyal advocates of the cause, forging a deep emotional bond between him and the people, akin to a child's attachment to their mother.

 Conspiracy and Fear of the Leader's Ideas

 Jerade highlighted that dominant global powers have feared the leader's philosophy, prompting them to conspire against him in an effort to eliminate his ideas and suppress their influence within society. Despite these efforts, Öcalan's vision has expanded and gained international prominence, further intensifying the hostility of dominant powers toward him.

 Violation of International Law

 Jerade underscored that Turkey continues to impose strict isolation on the leader, aiming to sever his connection with the people and prevent the spread of his philosophy. He stressed that the continued detention of leader Abdullah Ocalan for the past 26 years constitutes a flagrant violation of international legal standards and human rights, including the "Right to Hope."

 Calls to End Isolation and Achieve Peace

 Jerade affirmed that the physical freedom of the leader is essential to resolving deep-rooted conflicts and establishing genuine peace. He reiterated the necessity of ending the system of torture and extermination against Öcalan and ensuring his legal rights. Concluding his remarks, he declared:

"As a free human being, I too wish to meet and embrace Leader Abdullah Öcalan. We support the campaign launched under the slogan 'I Want to Meet Leader Abdullah Öcalan,' which aims to exert pressure to end the isolation policy and guarantee his legal rights."

 A global campaign was launched on October 10, 2023, under the banner "Freedom for Leader Abdullah Ocalan, Political Solution to the Kurdish Question," with the goal of ending the regime of torture and extermination imposed on the leader, achieving his physical freedom, and resolving the Kurdish issue.

 Following The leader’s call for "Peace and a Democratic Society," the campaign entered a new phase aligned with current developments surrounding the Kurdish question and efforts toward peace. This new phase began with the "I Want to Meet leader Abdullah Ocalan" campaign, which seeks to pressure the Turkish occupying state to engage seriously in the peace process by ending the regime of torture and ensuring the leader’s physical freedom.
