Students sitting for preparatory and secondary school exams, along with parents, held a protest in Shahba, Sweida, demanding that exams be conducted in safe areas and that students be given sufficient time to prepare and make up for lost instructional time.

Students in the preparatory and secondary school certificate classes, accompanied by a number of parents, held a protest in Shahba, Sweida, this evening, calling for their right to take exams in safe conditions to be guaranteed.

The protesters called for exams to be held in safe areas within the city and for students to be given adequate time to prepare and make up for missed schooling.

The protesters stressed that students’ right to education is closely linked to their right to safety, calling for appropriate conditions to be provided for holding the exams.
