Suluk Farmers demand support as agriculture sector collapses under Turkish control

Dozens of farmers in the town of Suluk, located in the Turkish-occupied city of Geî Spî, staged a protest demanding the provision of fertilizers, seeds, and urgent support for the agricultural sector, which has been rapidly deteriorating since the Turkish occupation of the region.

Protesters stressed that the absence of support and the soaring prices of agricultural materials threaten the livelihoods of thousands of families who depend primarily on farming as their main source of income.

The demonstrators held banners reading:

“We demand seeds and fertilizers to keep farming alive.”

“Restore dignity to the farmer before he sells his land.”

“Opening the crossings is a lifeline for agriculture.”

This protest comes amid growing public anger in areas under control of Turkish occupation and its affiliated mercenaries, who continue to neglect vital sectors such as agriculture, education, and healthcare.
