The cities and districts of the NE Syria are witnessing mass protests, denouncing the Turkish occupation army’s bombing of vital and service facilities and the citizens of the region. Today, the people of Jazera rose to set up sit-in tents in front of the establishments and service facilities in the Canton to protect them.

Derik

In this context, the Popular Initiative in Derik set up a sit-in tent in front of the Girzero station in the Kocherat area in the city of Derik.

Dozens of city residents and male and female representatives from its civil and service institutions participated in the tent.

The event began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, then the co-chair of the Dirk Council, Mahmoud Kale, denounced the attacks of the Turkish occupation state, and stated: “They aim to worsen our situation as people and thus push us to emigrate.”

Kale stressed that they: "We will continue to resist in the same way as Leader Ocalan, and we will not abandon our land and our history even if it costs us to sacrifice our lives for it."

Gırkê legê

The people of the district rushed to set up a sit-in tent in front of the Cultural Center in Rimelan.

After standing for a minute of silence, Asma Murad, a member of the Gırkê legê district Council, affirmed the adherence of the people of the NE Syria to the approach of struggle and resistance in the face of the Turkish attacks.

Member of the Martyrs' Families Council in Gırkê legê, Muhammad Jamil, confirmed: "We will not surrender; victory will be ours."

Çil Agha

In turn, members of the Popular Initiative in Çil Agha set up a sit-in tent in front of the Electricity Corporation building in central Çil Agha.

After standing for a minute of silence, member of the Democratic Union Party, Sirur Shatti, delivered a speech in which he stated that: “The attacks of the Turkish state aim to end our existence; we must increase the pace of struggle on the basis of the revolutionary people’s war.”

Tirbespiyê

In the Tirbespiyê district, people gathered in front of service institutions, denouncing the attacks of the Turkish occupation and emphasizing the resistance against them.

First, the people headed to the front of the People's Municipality of Tirbespiyê, and there they stood for a minute of silence, and organized a protest, in which slogans were raised denouncing the occupation, "No to the Turkish occupation," and saluting the resistance, "Resistance is life."

In turn, the administrator of the Council of Martyrs' Families in Tirbespiyê, Muhammad Zaki Ibrahim, spoke about the goals of the Turkish occupation in the attacks, and confirmed that they were genocide attacks, and criticized the international silence towards the attacks and the targeting of infrastructure and citizens' livelihoods.

The co-chair of the People's Municipality in Tirbespiyê, Najah Qasso, stressed support for the SDF to protect the gains of the July 19 Revolution. She said: "We must unite and protect our land and people with our own strength, and confront all attacks of the Turkish occupation, to achieve victory and achieve the goals of our martyrs in a free and democratic homeland."

In front of the People's Municipality building, the people headed towards the Directorate of Agriculture and the Office of Social Justice, passing through the central market.

During their stop in front of the two institutions, the administrator of the Social Justice offıce in Tirbespiyê, Abdi Khalaf, gave a speech in which he stressed: “The occupation wants to exterminate us, and is committing crimes against us.”

Abdi Khalaf called on the people of NE Syria to unite and stand united against the occupation and its mercenaries.

Qamıshlo

Also in Qamishlo, the popular initiative organized a sit-in tent in front of the automated bakery in the Al-Sina'a neighborhood, east of Qamishlo, to which residents flocked since the morning hours, chanting slogans of “Death to Turkish fascism.”

From the tent, member of the Popular Initiative, Suleiman Arab, saluted the resistance of the people of NE Syria in the face of the Turkish occupation attacks, and stressed: “We did not and will not rely on anyone to protect us, and our will will not be broken by targeting the infrastructure.”

In turn, member of Kongra Star, Shamsi Khan Kulo, made it clear that the attacks would not discourage them, and said: “With the leadership of women and in accordance with the thought and philosophy of leader Ocalan, we will continue the struggle until the last breath in the face of genocidal attacks and we will hold the traitors accountable.”

Amuda

In the Amuda district, a tent was erected in front of the Free Women’s Square, east of the city, with the participation of the people of the district and its towns, along with members of civil institutions and councils.

The event included a speech by a member of the Intellectuals Union in Jazera Canton, Bashir Malla Nawaf, in which he stressed the necessity of clinging to the land and resistance, and noted: “We must strengthen our solidarity and organize our ranks according to the requirements of the stage to protect our revolution.”

The co-chair of the Martyr Rezan Komen in the Amuda district, Laila Suleiman, stated: “The genocidal policies and attacks pursued by the Turkish state will fail thanks to the sacrifices of our sons and daughters and the solidarity of the components.”

Tel Hamis

As for the Tel Hamis district, the people went out in a demonstration that started in front of the Silos Roundabout in the west of the district, and toured the neighborhoods of the district, and the participants raised a banner that read, “We will resist any agreement that targets our existence, our dignity, and our identity.”

After arriving at the northern entrance to the district, they stood for a minute of silence, then a member of the Democratic Union Party, Abd al-Salam al-Jassem, denounced the targeting of service and vital facilities by the Turkish occupation army and demanded that Turkey be held accountable for its crimes.

The administrator at Kongra Star in Tel Hamis, Farah al-Shiwish, indicated that the occupation is targeting the region to break the will of its citizens and their belief in achieving freedom.

Tel Kochar

In Tel Kochar district, the demonstration began with the participation of the people and institutions of the district in front of Al Dallah Roundabout, south of Tel Kochar, amid chanting of the slogan “Resistance is life.”

After the participants arrived in front of the People's Municipality building, they stood for a minute of silence, and a member of the Democratic Union Party, Zahid Al-Aswad, gave a speech stating that the activities of the people would continue to confront the attacks of the Turkish occupation until victory was achieved.

In turn, Kongra Star member, Dalal al-Shibli, stressed the escalation of the struggle and steadfastness in the face of all genocidal policies pursued against them.

The demonstration ended with chanting slogans saluting the struggle of NE Syria people and their resistance, "Resistance is life."
