Signatures Campaign for leader's physical freedom begins in Aleppo
The process of collecting signatures for leader physical freedom began in Aleppo, a day after launching it in Qamishlo.
The beginning of the process of collecting signatures in Aleppo came during a statement made today, by the Syrian Initiative Committee for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, with the participation of dozens of members of civil society institutions, political parties, and residents in Martyrs’ Square in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.
The statement read in Arabic and Kurdish by the member of the Democratic Union Party, Walid Habash, and the administrator in the Teachers Union, Fatima Wabss.
The statement noted the popular resistance in Turkish prisons, and the continuation of activities demanding the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan in northern and southern Kurdistan, the world, and NE Syria.
The statement stressed that the start of collecting signatures comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to demand the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, calling for active participation in it.
On Friday, the Popular Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan in NE Syria launched a campaign to collect signatures to be sent to the Council of the European Union, demanding the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, through a statement read in the city of Qamishlo.
After the announcement, the people of Qamishlo city rushed to the designated points to sign the petition.
ANHA correspondents from North and East Syria confirmed that preparations are being made to begin the process of collecting signatures in all provinces of the region.
