Sheikhs of Raqqa: Our community solidarity is urgent necessity to confront Turkish attacks

Community solidarity among the peoples of the region is considered one of the fundamental pillars of the Democratic autonomous administration system in the North and East Syria region, due to the regulations, love, and brotherhood among the area's inhabitants, including Arabs, Kurds, Syriacs, and Armenians. 

 The notable of the al-Sabkha tribe in Raqqa region, Sheikh Turki al-Souan, explained: "Syria is fundamentally a country of components and minorities, and we in Raqqa have been living a co-existence live since the time of our fathers and grandfathers. There is no difference between a Kurds, an Arab, or a Yazidi; we all live together."

 Sheikh Turki al-Souan noted that the autonomous administration has strengthened community cohesion among all the components of the regions, thereby thwarting the conspiracies of many forces, foremost among them the Turkish occupying state. He said, "Since the formation of the autonomous administration, many conspiracies have been plotted by the Syrian regime and the Turkish occupying state, which has occupied many areas starting from Afrin to Ras al-Ain and Tal Abyad."

 Turki al-Souan explained that the achievements made by the Democratic Autonomous Administration were a significant slap in the face to Turkey and the Damascus government, which attempted to sow discord to destabilize the region's security and stability, and what happened in Deir ez-Zor is evidence of that.

 Al-Souan confirmed that the components of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria are united around their autonomous administration, saying: "The peoples of the region are aware of the conspiracies being plotted against them, and we rely on the project of autonomous administration, the democratic nation, coexistence, and the brotherhood of peoples."

 Al-Souan emphasized the necessity of rallying around the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Democratic Autonomous Administration, saying: "We must be united with them to confront all wars and attacks."

 The notable of al-Bu Asaf tribe in Raqqa, Sheikh Hamad al-Qaraja, said: "Our regions are generally subjected to fierce attacks, and the most intense assault was in 2019, during the Turkish occupation's attacks and its occupation of Tal Abyad and Ras al-Ain."

 Sheikh Hamad explained that the goal of the attacks is to dismantle the fabric of the region, the cohesion among its components, and to change the region's demographics, but the occupation has not and will not achieve its aim. He said: "The autonomous administration, since its establishment, has carried a free and democratic thought, which is why the enemies of freedom and democracy have targeted it, foremost among them the Turkish occupation, which has shown its ferocity and hatred towards this thought that threatens its throne."

 Sheikh Hamad al-Qaraja explained that their societal cohesion and unity have been ongoing since ancient times in the face of anyone who attempts to undermine their security and stability. He emphasized that their community cohesion is an urgent necessity to confront the Turkish attacks.
