Sheikh Mane’ Humaidi Daham Jarba praises role of Arab–Kurdish brotherhood in strengthening social cohesion

A delegation from the Autonomous Administration and the Council of Tribal Elders visited Sheikh of the Shammar tribe, Sheikh Mane’ Humaidi Daham. The delegation laid a wreath of flowers at the shrine of the late Sheikh Humaidi Daham Al-Jarba.

The delegation included Jiyan Dirk, advisor to the Autonomous Administration in Jazira Canton; Rohat Khalil, an administrator in the Women’s Authority; Hembar Hassan, head of the Council of Tribal Elders; Sheikh Fouad Al-Basha; lawyer Mohammad Amin Nuaimi; and from the Yazidi community, Mr. Nasim Shamo.

The delegation was received by Sheikh Mane’ Humaidi Daham Al-Jarba and military commander Sheikh Yawar Humaidi Al-Daham.

During the meeting, the visiting delegation spoke about the role and importance of solidarity among the components of the North and East Syria region in confronting terrorism, preserving Syria’s territorial unity, and building a free and democratic society.

For his part, Sheikh Mane’ Humaidi Daham Al-Jarba addressed the significant role played by unity among the various components throughout history; particularly Arab–Kurdish brotherhood and the shared coexistence of the Shammar tribe with Kurds in Syria and Iraq. He highlighted the development of this brotherhood since the start of the Syrian revolution, emphasizing its role in strengthening social cohesion and preventing all attempts to incite external discord.

He also stressed the necessity of preserving coexistence among all components of the Syrian people and working hand in hand to build the future Syria for all Syrians alike.
