Security Forces arrests 62 drug smugglers, dealers during month

During a month of the “Revenge for the Martyrs of the Anti-Narcotics Forces” campaign, the Security Forces of NE Syria arrested 62 people, including smugglers, dealers, and users of drug substances, and seized quantities of pills, narcotic materials, and weapons in their possession in 5 operations.

 The Internal Security Forces launched the “Revenge for the Martyrs of the Anti-Narcotics Forces” campaign, and began their first operations after midnight on October 27 in the city of Raqqa, raiding the dens of drug sellers, smugglers, and traffickers, during which they arrested 42 people and seized a large quantity of drugs that were in their possession, “Captagon pills.” 557,000 pills - and two Kalashnikov weapons - 13 Kalashnikov magazines - 3 9 mm pistols - 5 hand grenades - 6 pistol magazines - 10 bladed weapons - 2.7 kg of crystal meth - 261 Kalashnikov rounds - 53 9 caliber bullets mm - 41 BKC rounds - drug paraphernalia - 23 mobile phones.”

In the second operation, which was carried out on Sunday, October 29, two people were arrested in Qamishlo, and 15.40 grams of cannabis and 2.34 grams of crystal were seized in their possession, in addition to equipment used for abuse.

* In the third operation carried out on Tuesday, October 31, two people were arrested for planting cannabis in their home in the city of Qamishlo.

*In the operations carried out at the beginning of November, Anti-Drug Forces raided several dens of narcotic sellers, dealers and users in the cities of Hasaka and Qamishlo, during which they arrested 14 sellers, dealers and users and seized in their possession: 1,774 various narcotic pills, 700 Captagon pills, and 10 grams of crystal. Meth, 2 kilos and 609 grams of cannabis, 455 grams of narcotic seeds, various abuse tools, 175 Russian bullets, 80 23 mm bullets, 12 pistol bullets, and a knife.

* In the operation carried out on Thursday, November 23, drug dealers were arrested in the town of Mansoura in the eastern countryside of Tabqa, and “8,646” narcotic pills were seized from their possession.

The aforementioned information, according to the official website of the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria, was published along with video scenes of the operations carried out.

 The Anti-Narcotics Forces Academy witnessed the targeting of Turkish occupation aircraft on October 8, in the Derik countryside  which led to martyrdom of 29 members of the Anti-Narcotics Forces.
